I’m a big fan of Mommy Mundo projects and Expo Kid is one of the events that I really look forward to attending and participating. Expo Kid is on its 4th year and will be on March 10, 2012, Saturday at the Rockwell Tent.

Here’s what’s in store for you and your family at this years Expo Kid (taken from www.mommymundo.com)

This year’s EXPO KID will feature 4 activity areas for kids of all ages, and for us mommies too. Our activity partners are:

CAMP ADOBO – a kids camp that stirs up and entices your child’s awareness and appreciation for the Filipino culture and it’s rich cultural values (http://www.lenpluscreatives.com/campadobo/campadobo.html)

MY MASTERPIECE MOVEMENT – one of the most dynamic multi-arts schools in the country today (www.welovemymasterpiece.com)

HAPI HOMESCHOOLER – the homeschool association of the philippine islands gives us a taste of a homeschoolers’ life (www.hapihomeschooler.com). they will also be accepting registration for the Phil. Homeschool Conference that set for May 19.

ENDERUN – gives us a taste and sneak peek into their unique course offerings for moms and children this summer (www.enderuncolleges.com/)

Entrance to Expo Kid year 4 is only 25 pesos per person. Kids below 12 years old get in free of charge. Mommy Mundo passport holders also get free entrance upon presentation of your card. 100% of registration fees go to MomShare outreach projects.

All attendees will be treated to
- yummy Lulubelle Frozen Yogurt samplers
- family photo from Fantasy Kiosk
- There will be Crystal Clear water stations situated around the venue for free drinking water

There is also a kids inflatable at the foyer area courtesy of FUN RANCH. For nursing moms, there will be a breastfeeding lounge.

Anyway, I just got this news that EXPO KID 2011 is on!! BDW, DW and I had a great time at last year’s Expo Kid and we won’t miss this year’s as well.

Mommy Mundo brings to all kids, EXPO KID 3- a great way to start summer as it showcases the best and most fun activities for kids of all ages. Do you want your toddler to try out a music class? Your 8-year old might enjoy a swim class or something sporty. There’s also art class he or she might wanna try.

The best activity providers will be at Expo Kid, along with a bazaar where you can shop for essentials for your baby or child, and also for yourself. There are also booths showcasing the best party planners, preschools, and more!

Hi everyone! I hope everyone’s weekend turned out great. I posted last Friday that DW was running a fever again and that we might not be able to go to Expo Kid afterall. Well, turns out DW’s fever went away Friday night and by Saturday morning, he was his usual self although a bit grumpier but he most importantly, he was OK! So BDW and I decided to go to Expo Kid and check out the booths and activities there. I was pleasantly surprised that BDW really wanted to go and that he was just as excited as I was. My main agenda for going to Expo Kid is to look at kid friendly organic stuff for DW for the summer. We weren’t able to stay long though because we had a doctor’s appointment in the afternoon. The Rockwell tent was dressed up as a circus tent and we had to take a pic of DW against the brightly colored drapes.

Our first stop was at Polliwalks, now I was never a fan of Crocs but for some reason, we ended up buying DW a pair shaped like a Bass. It’s DW’s fault too because he didn’t want to take the sandals off and would complain whenever we tried haha! There were other animal shaped shoes and some came in Sesame Street characters too. I wanted to buy DW the Oscar the Grouch pair he tried on in the pic but we settled on the Bass because they seemed more comfy and had a hole to air out DW’s tiny chubby toes. It was DW who picked the color too!

As I said earlier, one of my goals in going to Expo Kid was to look for summer stuff for DW. I ended up buying a lot of the organic, natural mosquito repellents as well as sunscreen from indigo baby. We tried out the sunscreen and the mosquito repellant. One was ok the other had me shaking my head tsk tsk! Can you guess which?  Anyway, I’ll post reviews of Polliwalks as well as the other stuff I bought for DW soon!

I loved that the expo had a great mix of booths, from clothing to baby and kiddie accessories, to schools and play gyms. What made it even better was that everyone was friendly and took the time to explain their products and schools to the parents. BDW and I ended up with a lot of great ideas and new options to think of for DW. There were even shows there as well. We caught a group of little ballerinas who danced to two songs from Little Orphan Annie and The Lion King. I sang DW “Tomorrow” while the kiddies were prancing about. I used to sing this song in Kindergarten in front of my class a lot! (and for that I would like to apologize to all my Kinder classmates haha!)

All in all it was a great event and I wish we could have spent more time in some of the booths there that were pretty busy with their own interesting activities.
