Up next in my list of partners that we worked with for DW’s party is Reg Silva of Wedgienet. Reg is a freelance illustrator who quit a major TV station to focus on her passion (plus the fact that she was fatigued at her job already). I’m not sure how I got to Reg’s website but I’m so glad I got to know her.

For DW’s baptism, I made my own baptismal invites using MSPowerpoint (haha!!). It was a fun project but for DW’s big birthday bash, I decided to enlist the help of a pro. Reg is a member of the Ang InK or Ang Illustrador ng Kabataan.  If you see those illustrations in Tahanan and Adarna books, most of them are done by Ang InK members.  I also browsed Reg’s site and saw her portfolio and her notebook shop which showed really cool and cute teddy bears, donuts, cupcakes and many more. I was hesitant at first to contact her but I gave it a shot and so I emailed her about DW’s invites to which she responded with a Yes! She was considering creating invites at that point and so she willingly took me on.

We corresponded via email. I told her about DW’s theme and after a few drafts and email exchanges, we finally had DW’s invite:

We loved it so much that we asked Jhoanne of Polka Dots Events to pattern DW’s birthday backdrop from the invite. Jhoanne added the other animals to fill in the extra space at the sides.

To tie the whole theme together, we also ordered notepads and buttons to fill DW’s lootbags. We used the buttons to close the fabric loot bags.

The invites, maps, buttons and notepads all cost us less than Php 3,000.** We just talked via email and Reg delivered the goodies via Air21. I only saw Reg once at the Tahanan Village so the whole transaction was done online.  It goest without saying that Reg is really easy to talk to and very accommodating.  I highly recommend Reg although I’m not too sure about her availability to accept orders now given that she’s taken on a full time job (way to go Reg!).  Her Etsy shop is still open though.

However, I do recommend that you contact Reg so that you could work something out with her
