Hi everyone! I thought that taking a 2-week break would allow me more time to blog. Obviously that wasn’t the case given my last post was a week ago pa! Tsk tsk. I promised a give-away and yes that is definitely coming! FabManila is sponsoring the freebies and so it’s just a matter of time before I make that big announcement!

But back to the reason why I’m here and typing like mad…

DW is a year old!!

He’s one and he’s on the calendar! We had a small celebration last Monday, DW’s actual birthday, care of DW’s lola who hosted an amazing  lunch for the family. DW’s family who live on both sides of the Metro, came together to celebrate the little big boy.

I bought Mickey Mouse party decors to spruce up the eating area because DW is a big fan of Mickey Mouse and all his friends at the clubhouse.  DW got really excited when he saw the banner and the poster! BFFs!

I also bought a topper from Goldilocks which had Mickey front and center. Goldilocks has all sorts of cake toppers for sale that you can stick in any cake. This is great news especially if you can’t find a cake you like at Goldilocks. (To view some of the toppers, click here)

DW’s Lolo and Lola (BDW’s parents) ordered a cake from Red Ribbon. The topper went behind the cake na lang.

Lolo also brought an awesome candle from Divi that’s a mini trumpillo when lit. The candle was just amazing but we lit it outside because it had fire hazard written all over it.

Then the highlight of the party, the cake mash up! I sliced a small piece of cake for DW and he ate it, sticky icing and all.  He pretty much dirtied himself and his dad up.

It was a great day and that’s just the beginning. DW’s big celebration with all of our family and friends is this Saturday! We all can’t wait to just enjoy the day with good food, good people and just be thankful for a blessed year.
