This my dear friends is the song for you. This has been on repeat in my playlist for about a month now. If you can’t tell I’ve been feeling a little down in the dumps lately and aside from chocolates and cake, a feel good rah-rah song helps me to go on and to go forth.

“Shake It Out” is from Florence + The Machine’s 2nd CD, Ceremonials. Florence Welch’s vocals soar through this piece and it’s got a chorus that you can’t help but sing along with. This is my fight song!

I guess she shared it because she wanted someone else to cry with her and see what our future is with our sons hahaha. But yes, this ad by Magnolia chicken really hits the spot. I dread the day where I’ll be telling my kid “Papunta ka pa lang pabalik na ko!” and all those things my parents threw at me when I was growing up but I am slowly seeing the logic behind those cliches. Right now, I’ve got the same harassed look, scraggly hair and haggardo versoza aura of the mom in the ad down pat.

Grab a tissue, this will certainly bring a tear to your eye or at the very least make you sigh.
