Congratulations Mommy Elinor π Please check your email π I need your shipping address so that I can send you the planner tomorrow! Happy New Year and Happy Planning! π
—————————————————
Why hello there!! I hope your holidays were happy, merry and bright! My cousins from the US came to visit and I truly enjoyed being their tour guide. I was busy as hell but it was the kind of busy that I would gladly welcome anytime. Holidays are definitely for family be it the one you were born with or the one you’ve created for yourself. I love the holidays not just because of the good eats but it’s an excuse for loved ones to be together and celebrate the ties that bind.
Before I usher in a new review and a giveaway, let me celebrate you my dear reader for being so patient and absolutely supportive of this blog. Manilamommy grew so much this 2011 and it’s all because you have made my little space on the web a daily stop. This realization is definitely humbling but also it has inspired me to blog better in 2012. My goal ever since I started Manilamommy is to be a worthwhile resource for fellow frazzled parents and I am definitely working my way towards that.
Ok without further ado, I present to you the Mommy Mundo 24/7 Planner! Janice of Mommy Mundo, the uber mompreneur behind Expo Mom and Expo Kid (among many others) sent me the planner a couple of weeks ago and I was thrilled to get it. A mommy planner made by a mom is a great idea and Janice nailed it!
The planner is beautiful but it’s the thoughtful design that makes it a winner.
Here are some of my favorite features:
Big side tabs for the months. No more flipping through pages to go to the month you need to write a note in. Each month is tabulated and provides enough space for you to write your to-do list.
But THESE are what makes this planner a true mommy planner:
Info sheet for up to 3 Kids
A Menstrual Tracker!! I am currently tracking mine because I kinda need to know when I’m fertile because BDW and I are trying for a sibling for DW so this page is perfect!!!
Health file for kids (and you too!)
There are also Idea Pages, pages for your money matters but the one that takes the cake are 3 pages of discount coupons to your favorite mommy and baby friendly stores!
Winning this planner is easy! In the comments section:
1) tell me which ones of my posts this year is your favorite and;
2) tell me what your new year’s resolution is!
If you have a blog, link me up and I’ll give you an extra raffle entry in the draw. This giveaway is open to Philippine residents only π I will ship the planner to the winner via JRS Express. The giveaway will end on Wednesday, January 4. The winner will be announced on January 5 and the planner will be shipped on January 6!
Good luck and happy new year!!!

January 5, 2012 at 1:33 pmMy favorite would be your posts on Bellarocca. It’s my dream to see and visit Santorini but I guess Bellarocca is the closest thing here in the Philippines hehe.
For my new year’s resolution, or as I would like to call it – my goal for 2012 – is to pay off my credit card debt heehee.
Happy New Year!

January 4, 2012 at 10:00 pmHi there Manila Mommy! First of, I would like to say I love your blogs. I enjoy reading it and it is very entertaining. I guess this is because we are creatures of similar interest and we live in the same world-the mommy-world. One of my favorite blogs you wrote is the one dated July 28, “The Most Important Lesson I Learned from Samantha Sotto”. t’s so nice to read that good bloggers like you get inspired by her as well.I love reading and in fact, I have already read Ms Sotto’s book and I fell in love with it. The story behind the book is just as inspiring too, especially for simple Mom’s like us. She opened a new world for stay-at-home Moms like me, that we can be world-class too. Who know, maybe someday we will be world-class in something too!
My New Year’s resolution for 2012 is…hmmm, there are so many I can think of. But I choose this one… to be able to handle stress positively. Like the saying goes, “Grace under pressure”. Moms like us deal with stress on a daily basis and I must admit sometimes I don’t deal with it very well and I get a little grumpy. This year, I plan to take it easy and be a cool mom. I know by doing this, I will be a better mom to my two kids and a fulfilled, loving wife to my hubby…resulting to a happy Family… =)
Happy New Year Manila Mommy!

January 4, 2012 at 9:10 amI love your “Conversations with a Toddler” post. I have an 11 month old daughter and my husband and I are looking forward to the time when she can already have a conversation with her. However, we are scared/pressured too. We want her to grow up with a positive character and a good spiritual foundation. How she talks and how she relates to people will reflect her upbringing.
My new year’s resolution? Hay, to exercise again. I tried Plana Forma but it only lasted a month. After 11 months, I still look pregnant! I hope I find the time (and discipline!) to work out.

January 3, 2012 at 7:07 pmHi Neva! π Happy New Year! My favorite posts of yours are product reviews! I always check other mom’s reviews on certain baby products before buying one and yours are most helpful ones. The Indigo Baby Sun Block, Vapor Soove, Pigeon Toothbrush and the Argan Oil! All of those I bought because of your review! π
As for my new years resolution, to eat healthier this second pregnancy! I’ve been cheating alot haha!

January 3, 2012 at 2:55 pmI chanced upon your blog only recently and the first post that I was able to read was your “How to Deal” issue. I just returned to work from maternity leave at that time, and it made me wonder if that post is what I have to see myself going through also in the days to come. I am a first-time mother to a four-month old, and everything just feels so surreal. Sometimes, I am out of sync at work because I can’t keep my mind off my baby. At this early, I feel like I can already commiserate with what you’re going through. I feel like patting you on the shoulder just reading your post π I couldn’t help posting a comment on the said entry. We moms make decisions, mostly tough ones. But I believe as long as we have the best interest of our kids in mind, we can never go wrong.
My new year’s Resolution! The joys and stress of being a first-time mom, while maintaining a legal career on the side have stripped off all the vibrancy I used to have! Which shouldn’t be the case because we moms must never forget to look our best and feel good about ourselves! So my new year’s resolution is to look and feel more fabulous this year! And as the movie goes (Our Idiot Brother), to look semi-fu**able every once in a while! Cheers!

January 3, 2012 at 12:34 pmHappy new year! π
I discovered your blog when I was planning my daughter’s 1st birthday party April 2010, and I have been hooked ever since. I think it was mostly because our kids are only a few months apart, so stories about your son truly reminds me of my daughter. By far my absolute favorite post is your conversations with your toddler. It was hilarious and I could totally relate! π
My new year’s resolution is to spend more quality time with my daughter. I am a stay at home mom with a part-time business but lately I have been too occupied with watching my favorite TV shows online. I have resolved to limit computer time to when my daughter is sleeping or when she is at school only.
Hope you have a great year ahead! π

January 3, 2012 at 10:24 amYour blog post “How To Deal” published on Nov. 4, 2011 is very close to my heart and it’s something that I can relate to. I’m so sorry that you have to go through the guilt of a corporate working mom. I have also been a corporate slave for quite some time before my life made a 180-degree turn when I became a mom. Before I went on a Maternity Leave, plans were set on my return after two months. I even bought a top brand electric breast pump because I knew I’d be needing it in the office or while I’m away. But the moment I saw my son in the Delivery Room, I knew that I could not fuse my corporate work and motherhood together in me. I couldn’t take my eyes off him and whenever I had to go out of the house and leave him behind, it was always a painful and crying moment for me. So without second thoughts, I submitted my resignation letter on the first day I got back in the office. (Glad I was earning pretty much from my blogging then meaning I could work from home so it wasn’t really hard to decide about the family income aspect.) It was the best decision I’ve ever made and I’m so happy to see the growth and all the milestones of my son who is now nearly turning 4 years old and of my 2-month old daughter.
My New Year’s resolution is to eat, sleep and live healthier so that I’d be well and fit to take care of the whole family. (The whole household is “paralyzed” when the Mom gets sick). Also, I’ll stop comparing with other parents the way I mother my kids so that I won’t get pressured and feel intimidated by moms whose kids are healthier or behave better than my kids.
I’ve also linked up your contest on my blog for the extra entry π

January 2, 2012 at 4:53 pmMy favorite post is “Conversations with a Toddler”. I can relate to this post very much because I have a toddler also who is 2 years and 8 months old. I had so many funny moments with her too.

January 2, 2012 at 9:59 amI would love to have one! There are a lot of features that other planners don’t have. But honestly, I don’t know whether I’d be able to win this! It’s my first time here and loving it! I’ve had a few stickers here and there but losing hope I’d not be able to accomplish any complete set to any coffee shop-giving planner.
So , try as I might the one I got to read and liked was the one about your kid’s star. It was your post about the First Hi-Tech museum being built and naming a star for a kid would be a great gift and spectacle!
As for a new year resolution, I didn’t have one! I just try to live a day at a time and all faith at all times in the Lord! Since I hardly live up to any expectations even my own, hehe!
Cheers to more gift-giving and more reviews!
Tweeted about this also!

January 1, 2012 at 8:51 pmHappy new year Neva!
My favorite post is “Lessons Learned from DWβs 1st Plane Ride” because it was very informative. Our family was planning a vacay with Miel (my daughter who was about 2 years and 3 months then) and your post has helped me anticipate problems/hiccups/challenges that we might encounter with her on her first plane ride. Because of that, I was able to plan well and prevent any meltdowns π
And to note, Miel defintely enjoyed the trip that every now and then she would ask me when she will ride an airplane again π
My new year’s resolution is to lose some weight and have a healthier lifestyle

January 1, 2012 at 3:15 pmOne of my favorite post would be “Just in Case you Need to be Reminded”, it was a fun post that made me realize how time flies by so fast! It made me go “Wow! For real?” that I just had to share it with my friends.
I just have simple new years resolutions for 2012: drink more water, have better sleeping habits, travel more with my little boy and avoid cramming. I think the last one is the hardest, but I’ll really try my best! π
Happy New Year!

January 1, 2012 at 2:02 pmI love your post ” Getting to Know Me”. It’s always nice to know the “real” person behind every blog that we follow, right? Sometimes, it’s not only the content that we ‘re going back to but the person with the smart brains who has all the right words to create all the information-filled posts. Thanks for sharing yourself to us, your avid followers.
My ultimate New Year’s Resolution is to declutter – throw away all the worthless (material and immaterial) to make way for all things valuable – new adventures, new outlook, new memories.
Happy New Year to you and your family, Manila Mommy!
