This video was released last March 21 for World Down Syndrome Day but I can’t think of a more perfect occasion to post this here than on Mother’s Day. It’s a video by children who are telling one mom that everything will be alright. Isn’t that what we want to hear from our kids? That whatever happens, through thick and thin, everything will be alright.
This video is for all my fellow moms who are loving, celebrating and fighting for their kids with special needs. You inspire me and you teach me so many things. I follow some of you on twitter and some on Instagram, your feeds and the bright eyed pics of your lovely kids makes my day always.
I dedicate this video to my mom who has been such a great grandmother to David and Noah. Thank you for loving them so much mommy. I love that Noah comes to you when you peek into our room. I love that David wants to hang out with you in your room when he’s bored. Thank you for looking at my kids with so much pride in your eyes. It means so much to me and Dan.
To all my mom friends who have laughed and cried with me. To you who have loved my kids as your own, you are true gifts and we are truly blessed to have you in our lives.
And of course to Dan. Thank you and I love you. I would not be the mom that I am today without your support and encouragement. Thank you for always believing in me.
