It’s a good day when I learn a new recipe especially something as EASY as this one. I asssure you if I, a person who broke our rice cooker and have fainted on the kitchen floor because I cut myself while opening a can of something (I can’ t remember, I passed out remember?) can cook this dish so can you!
So without further ado, I present the EASIEST SPICY TUNA PASTA RECIPE EVER! (or if you’re a teen, EVAR!)
What you need:
Any 500 gram pack of spaghetti noodles and these babies
yan lang talaga swear.
Directions:
- Cook the spaghetti noodles as you would normally do. When the pasta is al dente (naks) strain the noodles and douse them in olive oil to keep them from sticking together and to also add a little bit of flavor to the pasta.
- Open the cans of Century Tuna Hot and Spicy Tuna. For a 500 gram pack of spaghetti noodles you can actually use up to three cans. Important tip: DRAIN the oil from the spicy tuna and leave only half or even lesser. WHY? well, first the oil will soak through the pasta and will make them soggy and also the tuna oil is very spicy! Draining half of the oil still leaves the tuna pretty potent.
- Cook the tuna in its own oil with a little bit of olive oil. Add the capers and some noodles. This whole thing should only take about 3 minutes.
- SERVE
This dish is best served with a smile. It also goes well with a pat on the back. When someone says “wow ang sarap!” Tell them “sus wala yun!” (with matching tuck of the hair behind the ears)
This dish though will end up looking a bit pale and it could definitely use some garnish. The capers do add that touch of green. Parmesan cheese works best with this.
I cooked this dish for two weekends straight. I was that happy because it’s a dish I can do from memory haha 😀 For you pro moms, what else can I do with this plain dish? I’d love to hear your suggestions!

August 11, 2019 at 9:22 pmone of my favorite dish. but I don’t drain the tuna oil coz i love it too spicy hehe.. then i add cheese (more cheese the better) my son loves it kahit spicy. mahilig sa spicy ang anak ko. then sabay kiss sa akin pagtapos na kumain.. 😉 we partnered it with garlic bread sometimes with buttered toasted bread.. my other version is with red sauce (i use del monte caldereta sauce.. sometimes carbonara sauce ginagamit pag trip ko hehe i usually do this pag holy week or pag type ko talaga magpasta.

April 8, 2014 at 1:27 pmI like to throw a can of anchovies in there too. Fresh parsley and some dried basil and a dash of oregano. I will try some of the other ingredients too…roasted tomatoes sounds good and along the same lines I feel like roasted eggplant might work too!
