(A Belated Post on my Beloved 🙂 )
BDW’s 2nd Father’s Day was spent walking, milling about, meeting up with friends and changing poopy diapers. Before the whole day began, I kissed BDW on the cheek and greeted him a Happy Fathers Day. I don’t think we celebrated the occasion properly though but BDW is not one to make big of events anyway. I for one believes he deserves a big steak dinner and he has yet to take up my offer! His birthday and father’s day are also just a month apart so I told him that I’d buy him whatever he wanted while we were in Singapore. BDW only had eyes for the pair of blue brogues from Cole Haan’s S/S 2011 collection.
Unfortunately, the style never reached Singapore or Manila and the only available size online is a size 8. BDW is bummed for sure. The man looooves shoes.
So we forged onwards and just enjoyed Sunday. The DWs even wore matching outfits.
At the Ion Food Court. DW loves Chicken Rice!!
As soon as I learned that we were pregnant, I was happy that I had BDW with me for the long haul. The man is understanding and patient — a perfect foil to my masungit and mataray haha 😀 He is also absolutely hands on with our kid. He is playful and can rough-house with DW but he can also be stern when the little one gets very makulit. They’re BFFs what can I say? I am blessed to have him as a partner. He was unwavering when I was going through my postpartum blues and is probably my blog’s biggest fan. He is an important voice in our online store because he provides the male perspective (not to mention our driver and page hehe)
The DWs in our first tiangge
Between the two of us, he is the one who wakes up early in the morning to prepare DW’s bottle of milk and to play with him when I still cannot get up and make sense of the alarm clock. He is our family driver who can moonlight as a taxi driver for all the shortcuts he knows around the city.
At a Hawker Centre in Tampines
One thing he can’t do though – change DW’s poopy diaper. But I’m not complaining, the guy’s handled more crap than me but he does it with so much more style! We love you Dada!! Hope your father’s day was awesome 😀
Your steak dinner is waiting! 😉

July 20, 2011 at 10:26 pmNice Father’s Day article, and belated Happy Father’s Day to your man, BDW. You seem to have a keeper.
Well, I’ve started a dad blog site because, unfortunately, most dads, Pinoy dads included, are not that hands-on with their kids. BDW obviously is, but he may enjoy the site nonetheless. I have my own Father’s Day article as well. 🙂
God bless you and keep up the great work.
