I haven’t done a Friday Fun Find in a while haven’t I? I’ve been finding a lot of cool things lately and my backlog is as long as my arm!! But here’s the first on the list and it’s my official weekend shoe for the past few weeks already. Feiyue (pronounced as Fey-way) literally means Flying Forward. I first heard of them online as kind of a cult brand among hipsters. And these kids really do pick up on the coolest brands most of the time and Feiyue is certainly one of them.
Feiyue is actually a Chinese brand. If you can remember the black Kung-Fu shoes that was so popular back in the day (baka classmates tayo nung grade school haha) Feiyue made that popular. The shoes are super lightweight and so comfortable that everyone from students to martial arts enthusiasts wore it.
Then in 2006, the French took over and oversaw the rebirth of the brand, injecting it with fabulous French style and quality so that you now have the rebirth of cool. Hello again Feiyue!
Feiyue Philippines invited the SoMoms to sample their shoes at their concept store at Sekai Center, Ortigas Ave, San Juan.
There were so many cute designs to choose from. I really loved the simple, clean and classic designs with just the Feiyue brand but they didn’t have my size anymore 🙁 Nakakainis talaga pag size 6 ang paa, size talaga ng bayan haha. However I did fit into the biggest size for kids!! But unfortunately it looked weird on my feet. I have narrow feet that is just really weird with certain shoe styles.
I still tried hehe I actually fit into Size 5 for kids!
For David though I went gaga! There were so many adorable and really fresh and funky footwear for kids. I decided on a high top for David for school.
These are the pairs we ended up with. I wear my pair almost every weekend as it goes with my usual uniform of cuffed jeans and polo shirts.
Prices range from 1,950 to 3,950.To see more of Feiyue, visit their facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Feiyue.Philippines
You can also check them out at Rustan’s Alabang Town Center, Makati and Shangri-la. Online they are available at Zalora.com.ph. Their concept store is at Unit 104 Sekai Center, 368 Ortigas Avenue cor Madison Street, Greenhills, San Juan
