Man, we’ve been without internet for 5 days and counting. I’m doing this post here at my office, in the safety of my workstation hehehe. The lack of online connectivity though allowed me to read a new book (Mindy Kaling’s), to exercise (well a few sit-ups and leg lifts) and to just rest. I have to admit that I am addicted to twitter and facebook and being out of the loop does bring certain benefits. Quiet time is underrated I guess 😉
But I can only have some quiet in small doses though and I am wishing and hoping that by the time I get home that our internet provider would have fixed our connection! I have stuff to write, stuff to email…a whole lotta stuff haha!
Also, I’m gearing up for two giveaways and February. February is Down syndrome awareness month here in the Philippines and the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines (DSAPI) have lined up activities in increasing awareness for and of Down syndrome. I’m going to do FAQs/ fast facts and feature a loving and wonderful family who have been also blessed with a kid with DS. Of course, I will be posting about our own experiences as well. I’m hoping that whatever I write here will reach new parents who have just been given the diagnosis and it will help ease their fears and anxiety. Dan and I are actually still new but we’re in a much, much better place now and Noah is growing, thriving and happy.
Is there anything you’d like to know about Down syndrome? Just ask in the comments section. I’ll source the right answers and come back to you in a post. For now, DSAPI has two big events, the Tee Up for Down Golf Tournament and the Countdown 3-2-1 Happy Walk.
February is also Noah’s baptism and I am planning my brains out. I have new suppliers to talk about and old trusted ones too 🙂 Of course I’ll do a review as soon as the event is finished. I did my own invites too just like I did with David’s baptism invites. Powerpoint rocks!
Noah Update: He’s doing good and he can hold his head up higher longer now. Sorry no pics for now save for this blurry instagram shot
I promise to be back soon 🙂
