If you grew up with Sesame Street, I’m pretty sure the “ladybugs picnic ” song and video has been burned into your subconscious. I sometimes find myself humming that in the middle of the day while counting. That or that counting video with the pinball machine (you know what I’m talking about!).
Well anyway, guess what they’ve updated the video. I found it via twitter through a tweet posted by Erwin Romulo It’s still the same song and the same ladybugs but now the ladies are in claymation and the song’s now sung by Langhorne Slim who’s brought his own charm to a much loved kiddie classic.
I’d still go for the quirky country-folksy singing the original video had. The new animation’s excellent though I wished they just retained the old song but that’s just me. I loooove the Sesame Street I grew up with 😉
Here’s the original for old time’s sake. I got crazy and played both videos the same time — totally made my day!! It’s sing-along time!!
