On BDW's one day off in Tokyo, we took the Tokyo Ginza line and a detour to go to Kamiyacho (H line/Grey line). End to end, the Tokyo Ginza line brought us to Asakusa where the Sensoji temple was all the way to Shibuya. Our first stop was at the far end of the Ginza Line. The Asakusa - Sensoji Temple is a huuge Buddhist temple that's just a few steps away from the Asakusa station. Between the temple's two gates is Nakamise which is a line of small shops selling a variety of local food … [Continue reading]
Crossing Shibuya: Nante subarashii no!!
Here we are at Shibuya crossing the busy intersection. One minute that will last a lifetime. Yez OA but yeah excited kami :P It's just one of those things you need to do when you're there :D I tried to take pics of all the buildings around the crossing. I just used my small camera for this because I kinda had stiff neck from lugging my SLR all day with my bro's wide angle lens :P They still turned out ok though. Tokyo: A Blur of a First Day
From Sunday to Thursday last week, BDW and I were in and around (even under) Tokyo. The hubby was there for work and I tagged along. It was a big leap of faith for me and a really expensive one at that! The ticket alone plus my personal baon took a good chunk of my income but it was one of those things that I felt that I HAD to do. I had so many hesitations and one of them of course was leaving DW behind. DW survived but I almost didn't. DW went after me when I went down from our car to enter … [Continue reading]
Konnichiwa!!!
I'm BAAAACK!!! Our bodies are still sore from all the walking we did in and around Tokyo! We came home last Thursday night, woke DW up to say hello but he was having none of it!! So yeah, we had to do a time out of sorts so that DW can figure what the heck was going on and why were we waking him up :P Anyway, here's me and BDW lining up for a table at a typical Japanese eatery in one of Tokyo's many alleyways. The food was awesome if not expensive (we spent at least Php500 per meal, without … [Continue reading]
Friday Fun Find: Introducing Private Iris
I've been working in Makati for about a decade now (well that certainly dates me! I didn't put two and two together until my classmate in AIM, Gilbert who works in … [Continue reading]
