Ok, I reeaallly want to win this for DW because he's really loving and playing with his stuffed animals now. He wrestles with his teddy bear and we play peek-a-boo with it. He also adores his small squeaky mini Mickey Mouse toy. We use EQ Dry for DW after road testing several branded diapers based on comfort, durability and of course price per pad (that's another post altogether though!). Anyway, I just found out about this promo and if you're just finding out about this with me right now well … [Continue reading]
Cory Aquino, The Wife and the Mom
In my other blog, I thanked Cory Aquino for being the mother to an orphaned country that was thrust headfirst into the hurly burly of a new democracy. We ran like headless chickens with the gift that was snatched and kept from us for 20 years and ran it to the ground. We didn't know what to do with it then and we were foolish. But hey at least we were being fools on our own terms, growing pains as moms would say. Much has been said about Tita Cory's contribution to democracy but the … [Continue reading]
I Gave Birth to A Shark…
Do you know that sharks continuously shed their teeth throughout their lifetime and that the lemon shark replaces its teeth every 8-10 days? I absolutely feel that DW is the same thing. No, I don't mean he lives at sea and feeds on Australian surfers everyday but our pediatrician told us that the number and the size of David's chompers are for 9 or 10 month old babies not for 7 month old kids. RAAR!! Extra fussy and super cryola, this weekend was absolutely rough! Also, I'm worried that … [Continue reading]

1) It is never like the movies. I've always imagined that when I'm due I would yell to dear hubby the line "My Water Broke" (with matching cussing) and then we'll go to the hospital give birth blah blah cue music. My previous post was about my birthing story and enduring contractions for one whole day. I started my contractions at 7 in the morning and gave birth at 12:45 a.m. I asked to be sedated three times. ARAY. 2) The Booby Show. Breastfeeding moms have always been shown with … [Continue reading]
From OWWW to AWWW – my birthing story
I huffed and I puffed and finally met DW on Nov. 30. Fortunately, I had an uneventful delivery and I now share a bondwith mothers everywhere who have a unique story to tell about how their child came to the world. This is my story :) Thursday (Nov. 27) - I felt three strong contractions. My mom, husband and I went to the Delivery Room of St. Luke's where I was hooled to a monitor. They turned out to be false and that my cervix was still closed. The contractions actually stopped when we … [Continue reading]
