I found myself feeling lethargic after the holiday season. Although I figured that it must be the holiday hangover, I also felt so bloated and just BLEH. I just knew I needed to detox but I didn't how and who to start it with. So while I was scrolling through my feed in Instagram, I saw Juice Ko Jo. I bit the bullet and decided without hesitation to buy the3-day detox package from Jojilyn (the "Jo" in Juice Ko Jo). Jo asked me when I wanted to start, I told her Tuesday because I have to deposit … [Continue reading]
Monday Musings
Noah had a challenging day last Saturday and he just refused to cooperate during his therapy sessions (he has OT and PT every Saturday). I felt frustrated but more than that I felt fearful. AGAIN. This should have been my first day of detox but I decided to defer it to tomorrow. I woke up with the left side of my head throbbing slightly. I'm worried that it may be connected to the ruptured veins in my left eye. That pinkish blur was a bright red spot yesterday. The thing is I didn't feel anything yesterday and it was a friend who noticed the spot. We were both in line to buy meat loaf for lunch when he asked why I had a bright red spot in my eye. Of course I panicked … [Continue reading]
Remembering Christmas
I know it's too soon to reminisce. The Feast of the Three Kings was only yesterday anway but I can't help but feel a bit bummed that the Christmas season is over. As much as I rushed through the season, I loved the fact that it brought together friends and families over good food. My most favorite part of any meal though really shone this Christmas. Desserts! Desserts galore! I relished the traditional salads and gorged on new pastries, cookies, ice cream, pudding and more. There was always … [Continue reading]
