In my first post about our trip to Singapore, I swooned and sang praises for their Family Rooms and Parents Lounges (See: Pooping in the First World). BDW read the post and told me “You forgot to post about the child friendly cubicles!!” And thus this post my dear friends.
I’ve seen it in a lot of washrooms here in Manila. The mom and the kid (sometimes kids) would go in one cubicle to pee. I would often see the kid’s little feet going back and fourth and around the cubicle with the mom gently telling them “No baby don’t do that don’t touch that no no no!” . I figured, there must be a better way right? There should be a better way to let moms pee in peace!!
Ladies and gents, I present to you…the Child Friendly Cubicle…
Yes that’s a child’s seat inside a cubicle. I DIE! (pic from this site)
Here’s another one (pic from this site)
Here’s DW at a child friendly cubicle at Terminal 2 of Changi Airport on our way home.
I peed in peace. DW didn’t want to leave his seat too. We were both thinking….Pwede pala no? Halleluia for first world conveniences!
I heart you Singapore!!

July 12, 2011 at 7:12 amI’m one of those mommies who say, “Baby, don’t touch that. No no no.” 🙂 Even now that my youngest is 5-1/2 because she still needs assistance when peeing. I wish public washroom cubicles in the Philippines are also as big and as convenient as in Singapore.
