I recently received a press kit from the Hong Kong Tourism Board and it’s too good not to share it with you. I love Hong Kong and I want to go back soon with the kids. The last time I was in HK for a vacation was when me and Dan accompanied our balikbayan relatives who wanted to do some serious shopping and eating. We had such a good time then and we always talk about going back there just to do another round of food tripping. Of course, our planning now involve how we could get the kids to Hong Kong. David is turning 7 this year, which is a milestone birthday. We want to celebrate it with a trip and we can’t think of anywhere else to go than HK Disneyland. These are all plans for now BUT if you’re planning a trip to Hong Kong anytime soon or if you’re Hong Kong bound in the next few weeks, do remember that there is an ongoing promo in Hong Kong called “Hong Kong Summer Fun” which runs until Aug. 31, 2015.
Here’s what’s in store for you:
- A Welcome Gift upon arrival at the Hong Kong International Airport.
- E-Coupons, which you can get at DiscoverHongKong.com.
- A Shop Eat Play VIP Card included in the Welcome Pack that is distributed at the pre-immigration hall of the HKIA.
- Plus a chance to win Php1.7 million trip to Hong Kong in their Return to Hong Kong Like a Millionaire grand draw. Oh gosh ang bongga, imagine all the fun you can have with that!
Here’s a sampling of all the other attractions that you can book and visit in Hong Kong:
The Frozen Village at Hong Kong Disneyland
If you use the messaging app Line, these guys will be at the Ocean Park Hong Kong for Ocean Park Summer Splash 2015 (disco foam party, waterfall swings, water mazes and slides await you!)
The famous Madame Tussauds’ wax museum has opened the K-Wave Zone which includes South Korea’s biggest stars! Koreanovela and K-Pop fans, this is a must stop because you can see up close Kim Soohyun, Bae Yong Joon, TVXQ, 2PM’s Nichkhun, and Super Junior’s Choi Siwon. I know my uncles would love the Kung Fu Zone because their idols are immortalized in that exhibit: Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen.
Next must stops are the Trick Eye Museum at the Peak Galleria Mall and the Hong Kong Pulse 3D Light Show.
Harbour City naman hosts Where’s Wally Hong Kong Adventure until August 9, which celebrates globetrotter Wally’s first time in Asia. Times Square is also featuring Gundam Docks II from August 1 to 31, while robots rule at The ONE Mall with a seven-meter Mazinger Z for The ONE x Go Nagai Exhibition until August 31.
