Yahoo!! Finally found time to post two more suppliers of Noah’s baptism. Part 1 where I wrote about his baptism venue (valle verde 5 clubhouse) is here.ย
I ordered Noah’s cake from Cat of Tazzy Cakes. I found out about Cat from my fellow mombloggers. They all love Cat and has been their go-to for special occasion cakes. I tried out Tazzy Cakes when I ordered a simple Pororo themed cake for David. David was obsessed with Pororo last year (ngayon Ben 10 na!) and so that’s what I ordered for his birthday cake this year. I also wanted to make his birthday cake extra special since he’s now a kuya and all so a store-bought cake just won’t cut it this year hehe.
I didn’t get a good shot of the cake tsk tsk. It was just one tier and I had only three of the characters who I knew hahaha
It was such a cute cake but most importantly it was delicious. The chocolate was not too sweet and it was really moist. I had this cake and coffee for breakfast for a week. I think Noah had extra sweet breastmilk that week too hahaha. I was sold on that first cake and Cat was really accommodating. She worked with my budget and I still got the cake that I wanted.
So for my Dad’s 60th birthday, I ordered again from her. My dad’s a techie (he’s on Instagram too and his feed is filled with pics of David and Noah!) so I had Cat design an iPad cake for my dad with personalized apps for him.
She did not disappoint at all. Take a look:
The entire thing is edible, even the box. The apps I had her do symbolize retirement, family, travel, games (my dad has his own PS3!) etc. The cake was a hit. Here’s another shot from Cat:
For Noah’s baptism, the theme was bears and balloons and the colors were all in pastel shades. I sent Cat pics of the centerpieces from our caterer, Centertable and she came up with this:
Everything was edible save for the biggest bear ๐ The kids all ate the bears and the balloons!! Again the fondant was soft and yummy and the cake was really moist and delicious.ย It’s amazing that Cat does all her amazing creations from her home kitchen. She also does the most chewy and delicious cookies with royal icing that are perfect for giveaways.ย I’m going to get her again to do Noah’s cake on his 1st birthday! Suki na kami! ๐
Her rates depend on the complexity of the design of the cake for the cake above I paid Php3,500 ๐ If you want to see more of Cat’s creations check out her following accounts:
