One of my most favorite smells ever is that of a new book. It’s something that geeks, nerds and bibliophiles could very well relate to. Some would bury their noses in a freshly opened book, inhaling the heady scent of paper and ink. Personally, I prefer flipping the pages, fanning the new book smell across my face…mmmmm 🙂
So imagine the smell of a newly renovated book store….
Powerbooks (who has come onboard as Manilamommy.com’s newest sponsor YAAAAY!!!) invited yours truly to its newly renovated branch in Trinoma. With DW and BDW in tow, we trekked to the mall and you know what the whole place smelled like a million bajillion new books were opened! I don’t know if it was all in my head but I loooooved it!
The newly renovated Trinoma branch was bright and definitely spacious. The bright lights were great for reading and the store was definitely easy to navigate. There were store guides too which you can ask for store products and of course book titles. Of course there were plenty of seats and reading in the store is encouraged 😀
DW and BDW went straight to the kiddie section:
I went straight to Dr. Seuss
DW loves books and loves being read to. At home, we’ve arranged his books in a shelf that ‘s just at his level so that he could reach for his books anytime he wants to.
Robby Da Silva, Marketing Manager of Powerbooks has this to say about the renovations of the Powerbooks Branches:
We renovated our Trinoma branch as part of our on-going brand building initiatives. The new store look was unveiled on June 2010 with our Greenbelt 4 flagship branch then followed by renovations in SM Megamalll and more recently Trinoma.
The new stores boasts of a more vibrant, young and colorful environment that will be a new haven for the casual book reader and book enthusiast. Once inside, the spacing of the circular aisles now provides every customer a feeling of comfort. The open expanse of the store is enhanced by its physical topography, making browsing for books inviting and easy. The new signage offers new colors and an improved insignia: the flipping of the pages suggest that Powerbooks will always be moving with the dynamically varying needs of its patrons. The current store look philosophy is that the store will remain continually flexible and transformative to the needs and demands of its customers.
