I’ve loved Heima ever since I first visited their store in Cubao Expo for a photoblogging class with Anton Diaz. I even posted about decorating a kid’s space using the pieces I found there. Now, they’ve opened a new branch at the LRI building in Nicanor Garcia St. Makati, which also serves as their head office. I was thrilled when I was invited to the sneak preview of the fun and fine store. “Heimish chic” is what they call their style, BDW called it controlled chaos. Whatever it is called, I just adore the use of color and whimsy in their pieces. They’re grown up furniture with a fun and quirky twist.
The fabrics they use are amazing! I then found out that most, if not all the fabrics they use are imported and some are from the awesome Cath Kidston collection.
They also accept made to order stuff and have refinished old pieces for some of their clients. When we visited the store during the sneak preview, there were already pieces reserved for some customers. It’s hard to not lose yourself in this store as there is always something that would really catch your fancy. If you love fun and great design, I suggest you drop by Heima either at their new space in Makati or at Cubao Expo.
Congratulations to partners Rossy Yabut and Bong Rojales and to the Heima Store gang!!
