When I was in high school the “in” thing then was to put dozens of pictures in your wallet in clear card holders. I had them and I filled them with pics of friends and my family. I had a beloved wallet from Benetton (yes kasikatan ng Benetton nun) which was stolen! I cried not because of the money I lost (wala naman akong money nun) but because I lost ALL my pictures 🙁 E di pa naman uso digital copies nun puro “pa-recopy” lang haha 😛
Now, the techie equivalent of that wallet is my rinky dink iPhone 3G. I have 1,385 photos in my phone and 90% of them is DW. It’s now my portable album and with a quick whip from my bag I can show friends how big and kulit DW is now.
It’s really kinda sad when I think about it because I have two cameras, a Canon 450D and a Canon G12. I bought the 450D because I wanted to learn how to take great photos using a semi-pro camera. However the 450D is really heavy and running after a toddler with the camera hanging round my neck became impractical. 3 years after DW bought me the G12 because the compact Canon I bought was stolen and I needed a smaller camera that still allowed manual settings (naks naman)
Those are two good cameras but guess what camera I use often? Yep, my iPhone’s. Case in point, it was the camera used when I gave birth to DW because we left the 450D at home.
It’s the camera I have on hand to capture candid moments with the DWs.
Add to that apps and filters and Instagram and yep memories and milestones of bugoy are all in my old iPhone 3G.
So my dear Canons, I will use you two again but right now, the phone trumps you both! 😀
