Are these guys the biggest fans of Venus Raj?? Our very own Ms. Philippines made it to the Top 5 of the Ms. Universe 2010 pageant recently. I was only following it via twitter and I certainly felt everyone’s excitement. I guess everybody needed that after what happened the day before. To Venus, it’s a major major accomplishment!! Mabuhay ka!

Father’s day is just around the corner and this video is just a reminder how cool dads can be   I found this from Candice via twitter (where else?). Her tumblr account (which is still in progress)  is chocful of videos of her family’s art projects including a car made out of Pringles canisters and a cardboard box right here!!

It would be so cliche to post this given that the elections is just five days away (PCOS machine epic fail notwithstanding), not to mention the recent Tears for Fears concert at Araneta that everybody is still high from, but it works.

The first cassette tape I ever owned was Songs from the Big Chair. My dad bought it for me and I remember feeling so grown up, owning something so “adult” as a cassette tape that didn’t have cartoon characters on the cover. I have to say that my dad’s pretty cool music-wise (among many other things). I’ll never forget how he sided with me when I begged my mom to let me watch Pearl Jam in Folk Arts on a school night! He still listens to new music, the last CD I heard him play was Kelly Clarkson’s haha

Anyway, here’s Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith. I never imagined that a song I sang in 1985 for fun would hold so much more meaning now…and dread. Nayks

Have you seen this video? It’s making the rounds of Facebook pages and blogs and I just have to share this all too familiar scene. This is how DW is when he’s not feeling well. He wakes up every 2 hours at night and looks for his dad. He either wants to be carried and lulled to sleep or he wants to climb on his dad to sleep on his chest. Last week, when DW got sick, not a few days after BDW got the bug too because he just wasn’t getting any sleep at night.

We can laugh about this video now because we know that whatever happens, we drop everything for the little ones but at the same time cross our fingers that they either get over this phase right away or that they stay healthy for a loooong time haha   Enjoy! Have a safe and great weekend everybody!
